Nutra Blend was founded in 1975 in rural southwest Missouri where its roots began in the poultry industry. As its customers’ needs evolved, NB expanded into a regional premixing and distribution company.

For more than 40 years, NB has been manufacturing vitamins, trace minerals and other quality feed additive premixes for the livestock, poultry and pet food industries. In addition to, NB distributes nearly every major micro-ingredient available on the market today and delivers weekly to all 48 contiguous states.

NB has grown from a regional premixing and distribution company, to one-of-the-largest micro-ingredient distributors in the United States. In 2001, NB achieved its first major milestone with sales totaling $100 million, and the success of NB continued to thrive. NB achieved a pivotal milestone in 2018, when it reached $1 billion in sales.

Nutra Blend prides itself in being a full-service enterprise with a small company feel. Operating with the “One Nutra Blend” company concept, NB is able to achieve customer satisfaction due to its customer-focused and high-level standards in all of its locations across the United States.

Today, the manufacturing and distribution center in Neosho, Missouri remains the headquarters of NB with two manufacturing plants and distribution centers located on each coast.

Nutra Blend – West, located in Madera, California and formerly known as Thomas Products, Inc., has been a part of the NB team since the early 2000s. During this decade, Nutra Blend officially became a subsidiary of Land O’Lakes, Inc., thus acquiring TPI. As an opportunity to better serve its east coast customers, Nutra Blend – East, located in St. Albans, Vermont and formerly known as Old Mill Troy, was onboarded in 2012. NB has additional distribution centers located in Hubbard, Oregon, Cedar Falls, Iowa and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in order to achieve its comprehensive footprint.

Nutra Blend takes pride in providing the highest quality premixes and ingredients that help produce the food to feed a growing and hungry world. In doing so, in 2020, NB expanded further by consolidating with the ingredient merchandising group to offer macro-ingredients to its ever-evolving customer base.
